Nonunion & Limb Reconstruction

Some fractures don't heal on their own schedule. Our limb reconstruction service treats nonunion, malunion, and complex reconstructive cases using bone grafting and modern fixation techniques to rebuild a functional limb.

A nonunion — a fracture that has failed to heal — can leave a patient in pain and unable to bear weight months or years after the original injury. We assess the cause, from inadequate fixation to infection or poor blood supply, and rebuild a treatment plan around it.

Reconstruction often combines revision fixation with bone grafting to encourage healing where it previously failed, whether in the femur, pelvis, or another long bone.

This is often complex, multi-stage care, and we walk patients through the timeline honestly from the first consultation.
